VH1 has posted a short clip from Blue October’s upcoming documentary. A lot of the clips are the same as the sneak peek that was included in the PledgeMusic campaign but there is some new footage included in this version. Every little clip we get from the documentary makes me more excited to see the whole thing. I know it is going to be a phenomenal journey.
The Shorthorn interviewed Ryan before the Dallas show. They talked about Dallas, Blue October fans, songwriting, the next album and much more. Listen to the interview on their site here or embedded below.

Last week when Blue October was here in Salt Lake for the quiet mind tour one of our local radio stations, X96, hosted an acoustic show at The Living Planet Aquarium. I was extremely lucky and got tickets to the event. When I say lucky, I mean it, there were only about 30 people there. It was so cool!
Justin, Ryan and Julian performed three songs- Into the Ocean (so appropriate for an aquarium!) Hate Me and one of their new songs, Light You Up.
Into the Ocean (love the little backstage bit at the beginning of this)
After they performed they signed posters and took pictures with the group.
Here’s my friend Misty and me with the guys.
You can see all pictures from the performance here. You should also check out their pictures from the concert later that evening. You can see those here.
Huge thanks to Anthony and X96 for this amazing opportunity!!
In 2010 Jeremy was on the Beat Charlie Moore show. Up until this point none of the footage from that show has been online. Now part of an interview with Justin, Jeremy and Ryan and part of the fishing show have been uploaded.

Yesterday was Independence Day here in the US so I thought it would be appropriate to have today’s Music Monday be performances of our national anthem.
This is Justin singing the Star Spangled Banner at the Houston Texans Game on December 9, 2007. (Justin starts singing about 1:20)
Justin also performed the Star Spangled Banner at the St. Louis Blues Game on October 10, 2007. You can see that video here.
According to BlueOctoberCrew on Twitter Ryan performed the Star Spangled Banner at their concert in Atsugi. Video of that performance hasn’t surfaced yet so here’s a video of the song from the concert in New Braunfels, Texas on July 5, 2008.
Ryan also performed the Start Spangled Banner at the KMC Rockin’ 4th in Germany on July 4, 2009. You can video of that performance here. (Ryan plays the SSB at 7:55)

I have been looking everywhere for good video of For My Mother but haven’t been able to find one that you could actually hear over the screaming fans. Luckily Ryan performed it Saturday night at Stubb’s for his Mom and angeleinaustin caught it on video.
Today’s Music Monday is for my Mom, who is my best friend, and all those other amazing moms out there- thank you for all that you do!! I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Delahoussaye, co-founder of the internationally acclaimed rock band BLUE OCTOBER, was also present for this historic occasion, and will teach master classes for ASPVA between tours. He is a classically trained violinist, and his success is a testament to his education from HSPVA, a world-renown performing and visual art school in Houston. He stated, “Austin is such a culturally rich town, and ASPVA will definitely play an important role in grooming the next generation of artists.”
